Founded in 1927 JVC is an international electronics manufacturer of consumer and professional audio visual equipment. It was the first company to sell TVs in Japan (no mean feat) and invented the VHS video recorder.

Focussing on size, JVC has created a range of lightweight LCD TVs designed to minimise the space taken up by appliances in the living environment. With full HD 1080p picture and dynamic sound performance and with less power consumption JVC's TVs are both stylish and more environmentally friendly. These models weigh less and consume less power than conventional LCD TVs.

JVC’s super slim LCD TVs feature a cabinet that measures a mere 39mm deep with a maximum depth of just 74mm at the panel’s centre and a thin 23mm width edge. The super-slim design was made possible via the JVC-developed slim panel backlight unit which is 40% smaller and consumes less power compared to a conventional LCD backlight

• Home Theatre

Under the 'Sopisti' brand, JVC has created a range of high end entertainment systems providing all the features required to make an excellent Home Theatre system. The NX-BD3 joins the Sophisti line-up and they say it's the "World's First 2.1 Channel Front Surround DLNA Certified Blu-ray Home Cinema System". Who are we to contradict such a statement!

Other features include 'K2 Technology' that has the ability to upgrade CD recording to the level of DVD and restore MP3 sounds to the level of CD before compression. x.v.Colour / Deep Colour, Hassle free set up, Surround sounds and DNLA certification is as you'd expect for equipment at this level

Continuing the ultra slim product range JVC has created a range of DVD players that pack a punch in a very small body. From Progressive Scan, Video Up-Conversion, Dolby Stereo, DTS and allowing a range of media formats these players contain the functions most people require.

• Digital Camcorders
  

Under the HD Everio brand JVC has created a range of camcorders that are very responsive to user requests, all you to store to HD, have great optics and are housed in sleek bodies. From creating the world's smallest HD camcorder (most manufacturers claim this but JVC's units are fully featured), recording via AVCHD (allowing 50 hrs of HD content on a 120GB HD) and having a start up time of 0.08sec you'll never miss any action again.

If you're looking for a smaller pocket HD camcorder then the PICSIO range is for you. Recording onto memory cards in HD, 8MP digital images, Image Stabilisation and allowing direct upload to online sites like YouTube these are great little handy cameras.
