The BJC-50 has an IrDA port communication infra-red system with your PC. The IrDA port eliminates the need for the BJC-50 to be physically connected to your laptop. Just put your BJC-50 next to your laptop or PC and data are sent directly to the printer. High lithium-ion battery, which means that the BJC-50 can print without mains with a battery capable of printing over 100 pages. A universal AC adapter comes standard. The option IS-12 Color Image Scanner cartridge plugs into the BJC-50 in a few seconds to turn the printer into a 360dpi 24 bit color scanner sheet feed. And when you travel no ADF paper option will allow you to use the printer on your desktop like any other desktop printer (ASF-50).
